My 5-year-old son had his first flag football game today. We hand-washed his jersey together very carefully last night in prep. for his big moment on the field. Unfortunately, I missed the entire game. My husband went instead because my little football star's brother and sister have ear infections and really needed there nap. Sometimes mothers disappoint their children because they had no choice. Love the haiku.
Compost Happens is a personal blog: part family, part garden, part crunchy green eco-writer. I'm Daisy, and I'm the groundskeeper here. I take care of family, garden, and coffee, when I'm not teaching and doing laundry.

I meant "their" nap, if any nit-picky journalists like me are watching.
Oh, I love this one. Very nice.
I miss homecoming football games. I love the haiku. So glad you entered the contest.
